Two drones are lost as a drone strikes a building in Moscow.

According to Moscow’s mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, a drone struck a building that was being built in the city’s center.

The defense ministry stated that two drones were also shot down by air defenses in the Moscow suburbs of Mozhaisk and Khimki.

It is unclear who launched the strike, and there have been no reports of casualties.

Russian officials branded it a terrorist assault attempt by the Kyiv administration.

Normally, Ukraine keeps its silence when it comes to those responsible for attacks on Russian soil.

Early on Wednesday, all flights to and from Moscow’s airports were halted, continuing a trend from earlier in the week.

According to the AFP news agency, it was the sixth night in a row that aircraft strikes had been made in the Russian capital area.

According to the defense ministry, electronic warfare systems muted the drone that struck the building that was still being constructed at the Moscow City complex. It also said that it lost control and hit the building.

Emergency personnel were assessing the scene after several windows in two five-story buildings across the street were broken.

The US State Department responded to reports of the downed drones by claiming that Washington did not support drone assaults in Russia.

According to US authorities, Ukraine must determine how to protect itself, and Russia has the option to cease the conflict at any time by leaving its neighbor.

Russian bombardment near the eastern Ukrainian city of Lyman also claimed the lives of three elderly people overnight, according to officials.

There have been many more instances of drone attacks inside Russia in recent months.

Two drones were shot down over the Moscow area on Tuesday, according to the Russian defense ministry, while two more were intercepted over the Bryansk area close to the Ukrainian border.

According to Mr. Sobyanin, two drones were shot down by Russian air defenses west of the capital in the Krasnogorsk and Chastsy regions. There were no injuries recorded.

The ministry further said that a Russian warplane shot down a Ukrainian reconnaissance boat in the Black Sea on Tuesday as it approached Russian gas production sites.

Tuesday’s drone assaults were not attributed to Ukraine, although President Volodymyr Zelensky has previously stated that such strikes are an “inevitable, natural, and absolutely fair process.”
