During the Invictus Games’ final speech, Prince Harry seemed to disparage the royal family.

Following his resignation as the senior working royal, Prince Harry seems to have taken a harsh dig at the Royal Family for their choice to forbid him from donning a military uniform.

As the Invictus Games came to an end, the Duke of Sussex appeared to make fun of his estranged family while giving the final statement in Düsseldorf.

I’ve heard from so many of you that it hits you right here. Harry reminded the participants, “For many of you, the uniform that you’ve been sporting this past week will provide you another tale to tell.”

Additionally, Harry, who together with his bride Meghan Markle left the royal life behind to move to the US, said that it may give your old uniform new meaning for others.

But after all of this, I’m here to remind you that you don’t need to rely on a uniform and that you shouldn’t feel lost without one. Because you already possess everything you require, he added.

Because he was no longer a working royal, Harry, who had served in Afghanistan, was unable to wear his unique military uniform, which caused him great distress.

Prince William and other royals opted to wear different ceremonial attire to Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021 in order to make Harry feel more at ease.

For a ceremony at the Queen Elizabeth II vigil at Westminster Hall in September, Harry was later permitted to don his military uniform and medals.

After Megxit, he also lost his military rank of Captain General of the Royal Marines.
